Case Study

As a cumulation of my clinical nutrition experience in the in-patient hospital setting, I researched a presented a case study highlighting the nutritional implications with end-stage AIDs complicated with Kaposi Sarcoma. I was able to assess and follow-up several times throughout the hospital stay of this particular  patient.

Journal Club

Throughout my clinical rotation, I researched the current literature regarding the issue of estimating calorie needs for obese patients in the critical care setting. I presented the articles I compiled along with the findings.

Pediatric Research Project

I had the opportunity to complete a two week rotation at Rady Children's Hospital.  While there, I had the opportunity to research Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD), a metabolic disorder. At the completion of my rotation, I presented my findings to the Nutrition department
