National Nutrition Month
As part of National Nutrition Month I, along with the other four interns, planned and implemented a nutrition fair at a local elementary school. We worked with the students in the weeks preceding the fair through visiting classrooms talking about healthy eating and initiating a poster contest around the theme "Eat Right with Color."
Our fair was also centered around this theme, with several booths highlighting the many colorful components of a healthy diet. My booth focused on fruit and we played games that helped the students see how fun fruit can be.
